Turn it UP in the front AND backcountry with this all women’s weekend of ski instruction coached by Kit DesLauriers, Women’s Freeskiing World Champion and professional ski mountaineer.

With the first day spent riding the chairlifts at SugarBowl, everyone will get personalized ski instruction with video analysis so they are ready to focus on new skills for day two where the group will move into the backcountry to incorporate their expert ski technique with learning to travel safely “out of bounds”. Price: $700 per person includes 2 days ski instruction; with one day on the ski area and one day in the backcountry with additional guide. Special lift ticket packages and alpine touring ski equipment rentals are additional and available upon request.

TURN IT UP Women’s Backcountry Yurt Ski Clinic.  March 8 - 11, 2007
Powder Turns Well Earned. Learn how to travel safely in the backcountry by doing it with other women! Spend 3 days and 2 nights with freeskiing world champion and ski mountaineer Kit DesLauriers and professional ski guide, Diane Verna, at a yurt in the Bridger-Teton National Forest in the southern reaches of the Tetons. Days are full of ski touring instruction, hands on education, and powder turns well earned! Evenings include sleeping in bunks after a fine dinner complete with presentations about mountain snowpack, equipment, safety considerations and more.

Participation is limited to 8 women and a maximum 4:1 client to guide ratio. Participants should be in good physical condition and have advanced intermediate or higher skiing skills.

Price $950 per person includes 4 nights lodging with 2 spent at the yurt and 2 nights double occupancy hotel room in Driggs, Idaho. 3 days of ski touring with guides, rental of avalanche safety equipment, transportation to/from trailhead to Driggs, Idaho and all meals while at the yurt.
